Introduction
In this episode, we’ve got some knitting, some spinning, a little tale about how this mess got started and I am all spun up about festival season.
Updates
- Itty bitty is now a high school graduate. I no longer have a school aged child living in my household. We celebrated and had lots of family in town for the event and it was fantastic
- Byrd visited for the festivities and she is already beck to school. She is getting ready for an international event where she will go to Japan for a month to work on an advertising and marketing campaign for a large international company.
- Springtime in the Rockies hit us in full force
Spin a Tale
- Hear me reminisce about how the podcast got started and who were my biggest influencers.
Spinning my Wheels
Even though there has been a ton going on in my life, I have managed to get a little crafting done each day.
Knitting
- I am still working on My Blue Heaven. It is a chevron shawl out of a Gradiant set I got from The 100th Sheep.
- I Started another pair of self-striping socks. The yarn I am using is Ty Dy Sock by Knit One Crochet Two.
- I set both of those down to work on another super duper top secret project. I am knitting with a lovely yarn from Colorful Eclectic.
- I am thinking about doing another Flashback Sock Knit-along. I may elicit your help in deciding on a pattern.
Spinning
- I have spun pretty regularly on the Dreaded Fleece but didn’t get much further than that.
- I also started a new spinning project on my Hanson Minispinner. I needed something bright and shiny to combat the weather. I started a beautiful red, orange and yellow merino and tussah silk from DaizieKnits. Love it.
- I found a lovely cosmetic case that is perfect for carrying my mini spinner. It is from: TriForce
All Spun Up
- I am all spun up about travel season. Hear about my trip to Maryland Sheep and Wool, and my plans for Estes Park Wool Market.
Spin Off
- Over the next few weeks you will see some changes my website. Stand by. They are coming along.
- Closing song: Once and Future Carpenter by The Avett Brothers. Try their Music… Buy their Music!
