In this episode, we are talking about a lot of WIPs. All sorts of WIPs – figurative WIPs, literal WIPs, craft-related, not craft-related. It’s all going to tie back to works in progress.
Updates:
- We are counting down the days until Itty Bitty graduates.
- We did some traveling for Independence Day to Salida, CO
- Some of my real-life WIPs slowed down my progress on crafty things. I spent hours working on the pasture.
Spin a Tale
I unearthed so many WIPs as I finished digging through the craft room.
Spinning my Wheels
Knitting
- Finished the first sock in the pair of the Leyburn socks by PepperKnit. I ended up binding off one of the socks twice. Regardless, they are done done.
- My new shawl design is coming along. I am using 2 different yarns for my stripes – Anzula Squishy Skeinettes in the color way Zinnia Field, and Dragonfly Fibers Djinni Sock
- The Plain Jane Glory Sweater was paused. I am deciding between bulky or worsted weight yarn. I think I will go with Bulky.
Spinning
- Tour de Fleece is upon us! I do not have a solid plan or goals but I will be spinning
- I have a super duper top secret project due Sept 1 but will finish it during TdF
- I will spin on the rambouillet from Into the Whirled in the color way Just Pretentious Enough. I am spinning this on my Daedalus Sparrow.
- I am going to try to squeeze in skirting an alpaca fleece a day
All Spun Up
I climbed the Incline in Manitou Springs!
Spin Off
We have some quiet weekends coming up before we head out for our next camping trip. I have some work to accomplish at the homestead. I still have editing to do on the CSM videos I recorded. I am also making a plan for teaching my first class here in the local area. I will also finalizing the prototype and will keep you posted on that.
