In this episode, I’ve some knitting and spinning, lots of adventures and travel and a pretty big tale for you about how I should have steered into the skid.
Updates:
- I have traveled to all of the knitting and spinning events I had planned for the year: Maryland Sheep and Wool Festival; Estes Park Wool Market.
- I taught my first spinning class at Estes Park Wool Market and it was a big hit!!!
- A HUGE Thanks to Lisa for making an efforts to say hi. It meant a lot to me.
- I got picked up for 6 of the 7 proposals I submitted this year… it was a LOT. I may have over-obligated but I didn’t crash and burn.

I had some issues with Plain Jane Glory and I failed to steer into the skid… I wildly over corrected.

Knitting
- It turns out I am not smart enough to knit patterns from Cat Bordhi’s book New Pathways for Sock Knitters, Book One. am going to have to circle back to knitting through the book next year.
- In the mean time, I am going to take on some fast patterns to make up lost time with the SISC: Ampersand by Kirsten Kipur; Turkish Bed Socks by Kit Hutchin; Saki Clog Socks by Nellknits
- I am knitting on the Plain Jane Cardi! I am using the same yarn as PJG – Blue Sky Fiber WoolStok Tweed.
- Keep an eye out for the release of Plain Jane Glory.
Spinning
- I did 5 articles/patterns back to back. One of the projects was one of my most favorite yarns I have ever spun. I can’t wait to make it again..
- After taking on so many projects, I am finally able to spin something just for fun and just for me. I am working on my first 3-ply, 2 ways project with some Into the Whirled in the color Wibbly Wobbly Timey Wimey.
- I was motivated to try the 3-ply, 2 ways by an article and pattern in PLY Magazine, Spring 2025 by Laura Linneman called the Footpath Socks.
All Spun Up
I designed secondary, non-fibers product… a Handspinnner’s Jounral because I couldn’t find one that made me happy.
Spin Off
Thanks to everyone who joined me. Summer is almost done and I didn’t do a Spring Clean! I am doing something different. I am letting go! I am clearing out lots of clutter.
