In this episode, I’ve got some knitting, some spinning, a spinning book recap, and a tale for you about my commitment issues.
Updates:
- The boy had a setback but is doing well
- The craft room is clean! I inventoried and put away all my stash yarn and fiber. I still need to go through drawers.
- I have some yarn and other stuff headed to charity
- I found all my knitting needles but still no luck on locating the Field Guide to Fleece!
Spin a tale
My fear and commitment issues have slowed progress on the Gotland Fleece.
Spinning my Wheels
Knitting
- The Brickyard Swancho turned out well. It fits perfectly!
- I cast on and have finished the sleeves on the Oatmeal Cardigan by Amy King.
- My plain-jane toe-up socks I am knitting have stalled. I can’t see well enough these days to tolerate the tiny needles and tiny yarn. I am using a Gale’s Art Sock Blank dyed in the 2019 MDSW colorway.
Spinning
I have been spinning on some random batts I dug out of the stash. This is a ploy to overcome my commitment issues with the Gotland. They are giving me the chance to work on my short forward draft. I am doing some spinning for the sake of spinning.
Put my Spin on it
As part of the Year of Spinning with Intent, I am reading everything I can find on reading. I put my spin on The Intentional Spinner by Judith MacKenzie McCuin.
Spin Off
I am making plans to maximize on a six-day break I have coming. The boy will be out of town so all my time will be mine!
