In this episode, I’ve got some knitting, spinning, travel and a little tale about my origin story.
Updates:
- I think Spring is here for real with means lots of travel and yard work to take care
- We helped Byrd move across town. Easy peasy.
- Still not real updates on my continued employment with the federal government.
Spin a Tale
So, I have decided is my job situation changes, I am writing my Origin Story. The real question is whether or not it will be a villain Origin Story.
Spinning my Wheels
Knitting
- I finished the Lone Skein Shawl by JoJi Locatelli. I haven’t blocked it yet so I don’t actually know how I feel about it.
- Finished the body on the The Purl Code pullover by Isabell Kraemer and moving on to the sleeves. I am enjoying the O-Wool Balance. It’s such a shame this yarn is discontinued.
- I have some casting on to do for Travel knitting.
- I am planning to take a flashback sock pattern, Leyburn socks by PepperKnit
- I also plan to take a kit I got from Stunning Strings Studio for a hat from Knitting the National Parks
Spinning
- I am spinning some deep stash Polworth with no goal in mind. Spinning just to spin
- I have another contracted project coming up soon that includes both knitting and spinning. Not as much spinning as last time but spinning just the same
- I have also been thinking about my Jenkins Turkish Spindle collection and debating on trading for some models I don’t have.
Tale Spin
I have been thinking about getting a subscription to BrixBox or Acorn but I decided I need to finish watching stuff on my current subscription before adding. I have been binging lots of Serial Cop Dramas and NBC FINALLY released all the original Law and Order Episodes on Hulu. I recently finished so seriously classic shows including Homicide: Life on the Street and NYPD Blue.
Spin Off
I have been talking about travel project because travel season in upon us. We will start camping soon and, of course, Maryland Sheep and Wool is next weekend!
