In this episode, I’ve got plenty of knitting and spinning, and we are going to talk a little bit about downsizing.
Updates:
- Mother’s Day weekend was a success. We made it to two yarn stores – Lambspun of Colorado and My Sister Knits
- I am adjusting to the life of the unemployed. It’s both good and weird.
- I have refreshed both my websites: ForeverHandmade and Spin Control Podcast. New up is refreshing the Etsy Shop.
- I made my last tuition payment for Itty Bitty!!!
Spin a Tale
I am downsizing the contents of my craft room. I need to get rid of things I will never ever use. I visited Who Gives a Scrap for the first time and will definitely be donating.
Spinning my Wheels
Knitting
- I am working through the sleeves on The Purl Code pullover by Isabell Kraemer and need to get it finished before the Estes Park Wool Market the first week of June.
- I remade the sock machine socks I started in Knit Picks Stroll Tweed. I just need to graft the toes.
- I rescued the yarn and restarted the Leyburn socks by PepperKnit. I am halfway through the first foot.
- I have been thinking about knitting two new patterns: a wrap with garter stitch stripes and a Raglan with unique increases.
Spinning
- I spun and plied another 2 oz. of Polworth and have about 6 oz left.
- I started spinning a some dyed rambouillet from Into the Whirled in the color way Just Pretentious Enough. I am spinning this on my Daedalus Sparrow.
All Spun up
I am so proud of myself. I edited the CSS code on my website to fix issues I couldn’t fix otherwise. Super cool and thank you YouTube!
Spin Off
In the weeks to come, I have more travel ahead. Heading out on a camping trip for Memorial Day weekend. We love a long weekend. I am excited to announce I released an episode of Show And Tell on YouTube. Check it out!
