In this episode, I’ve got some travel knitting and spinning and a little tale about making the best out of a bad situation and turning it into a bright sun shiny day.
Updates:
- I have an update on my trip to Maryland Sheep and Wool Festival.
- Taking a trip to Fort Collins for Mother’s Day Weekend
- The boy had surgery… he’s fine.
Spin a Tale
Hear all about how I am making the best out of a bad situation.
Spinning my Wheels
Knitting
- Still haven’t blocked the Lone Skein Shawl by JoJi Locatelli.
- Finished the body on the The Purl Code pullover by Isabell Kraemer and need to get it finished before the Estes Park Wool Market the first week of June.
- I am also testing some Knit Picks Stroll Tweed on the sock machine to see if it holds up as well as Knit Picks Essential Tweed. I will have to make these twice. I did a terrible job the first time.
- I have some casting on to do for Travel knitting.
- I got 3/4 of the way through the foot of the first sock on the Leyburn socks by PepperKnit. I had to start again and that a tale of it’s own.
- I also plan to take a kit I got from Stunning Strings Studio for I ended up starting and finishing the California Poppies Hat by Nancy Bates.
Spinning
I have been spinning and started my travel project but completely forgot to talk about it.
Other
I am doing a “27 Things” everyday in the craft room to make it usable.
Tale Spin
I just finished watching The Residence. 10 out of 10, I highly recommend.
Spin Off
In the weeks to come, I have more travel coming up so more travel crafting. We are headed to Fort Collins, Colorado for Mother’s Day Weekend. They have some great yarn stores so that should be fun.
