In this episode, I’ve got little a bit of knitting and spinning, I am all spun up about what has gone missing, and I put my spin on the book Spinning 101.

- The boy returned to work
- We had a great visit with Byrd and made out way over to the Bacon Social House
- Itty Bitty headed home for spring break.
- Things are returning to normal here at the homestead.
All spun up
I am all spun up about what’s gone missing. I found may paper scissors but where they heck are these other things? I can’t find my copy of the Field Guide to Fleece!
Spinning my Wheels
Knitting
- I finished the Brickyard Swancho by Erika Flory and it’s blocking right now. I think the sleeves are going to be too long but totally fixable.
- Still chugging away my plain-jane toe-up socks I am knitting out of a Gale’s Art Sock Blank dyed in the 2019 MDSW colorway.
- I decided it’s time for the Dreaded Fleece to fulfill its destiny. I did a lot of swatching and I am prepping to knit the Oatmeal Cardigan by Amy King.
Spinning
I finished sampling some Whitefaced Woodland from Bleed School from the Sheep Spot. I have some recommendations if you are considering a fleece/breed sampler. I am also still sampling the Gotland fleece.

I put my spin on Spinning 101 by Tom Knisely (Hint: this is a negative review)
To give you a clue, here’s an excerpt from the book that made me go, Wha?!?:
“When spinning with the long draw technique, the left hand stays a few inches away from the orifice. The fingers of the left hand pinch the twist tightly while the right hand, which is holding the fiber, pulls back slowly, stretching the fibers into a thin wisp.” huh?
