Spin Control

In the episode, I totally forget how to do and intro.  I did manage to get out some information out about my knitting, spinning and sew, I talk about why I felt like such a cliche last week and I put my spin on a book.

- Feel so luck that I got to re-knit the entire back of the boy’s sweater.

I really feel like I conquered the Dreaded Fleece.  Spun, plied and swatched for a fabric that I am happy with

- Never even sewn with a pattern but itty-bitty talked me into sewing her a medieval gown.

In this episode, some knitting, spinning and I alomost had some sewing.  sewing. I also have a little book reveiw and a little tale about a surprise that was unexpected.

- The Joyful Boy knocked my socks of with a completely unexpected gift.  He got me a me a HuskyLock s21 Serger.

- I pulled out all of my WIPs to take a good look at what I still have on the needles… There are my Dusty Corner Socks, a Burp Cloth, the Scrappy Lengthwise Scarf and a pair of little girl socks.

- Started cast-on and am making decent progress on the boy’s sweater.

Spinning

- I helped my friend doctor her wheel

- Got the two oz. of Dreaded Fleece off the bobbins and ready to ply.  It is dramatically thinner when I finished than when I started.

Other

- The sergers arrival has really stirred things up in the craft room.  You will have to hear it to understand.

- I have been hand carding the fiber from Mona Kita.  Love it.

- I crushed the boy’s soul by trying to help him finish him jean quilt

- I finished a sock from  the pair of toe socks from itty-bitty.  The boy convinced me to start something too.  I cast on the Baby-Genious Burp Cloth from Mason Dixon Knitting.  That should be the first in a long line of finishing.

- I finished up the Turtle Purl fiber that I have on the Sequoia. Now I can loan the wheel to a friend and teach her to spin.

Sewing

- I am working on the Christmas quilts for the boys family and helping him finish a scrap demin quilt he started.  Got a super deal on the background fabric.
